Using a Toy Chest as Room Decoration and Fun!
Never underestimate a great toy chest. I had a really cool wooden one when I was a kid; very vintage, big, and heavy. It was pretty awesome and I spent hours playing with my toys inside of it, as well as crawling in it myself! It also worked really well with my brother and I’s room in our old house, matching the other furniture and decor.
The toy chest has changed a lot since I was kid. Now they are not just available in a classic wood finish, but they can be bought covered in your child’s favorite characters. From Toy Story to Dora the Explorer, these chests can match your child’s interest as well as the design of their room.
Designs aren’t just limited to cartoon characters. Chests shaped like a truck or a pirate’s treasure chest can be found. There’s even designer toy chests, with all the love in the world put into the design and detail of it.
If you want to get something unique, they can even be personalized with initials or a full name so everyone knows whose toys are inside. I wish I had that when I was a kid!
Toy chests are not only great for organization and decorating, but they also make a wonderful keepsake that your kids can hold onto and either use for other items later in life, or pass it along to their children.
