Kids Sleeping Bags and The Thrill Of Camping
Kids sleeping bags spell one thing: camping! What kid doesn’t love to camp? There’s something exciting about pitching a tent, and making it cozy with sleeping bags and blankets, snacks and candy, comic books and Barbie dolls, and of course a flashlight.
Camping in the winter with kids can pose an extra challenge. If your kids are unaccustomed to camping in winter, it’s wise to keep the trip to a couple of nights, at a destination that’s not too far away. When it comes to clothing, overestimate your clothing needs. Definitely pack plenty of warm clothes and thick socks, and ensure everyone has a warm, waterproof wind breaker. Of course, never go anywhere without your map and compass, and remember than snow can slow you down, so plan on your hike taking longer than expected.
And after an adventurous day outdoors, it’s time to come back to base camp and enjoy a piping hot meal to warm everyone up. Fire up your portable stove and grill, and cook comfort foods like soup, beans, sausages. After relaxing with a hot chocolate, it’s time for the kids to get a good night’s sleep in their kids sleeping bags.
